Link Wentworth is excited to launch Home Sweet for 2023—our annual charity sleepover to raise awareness and money to address homelessness.
Home Sweet was launched in 2017 to address the growing issue of youth homelessness in Sydney. In 2017, the Home Sweet campaign raised $120,000 for The Burdekin Association to provide housing and support for homeless youth on the Northern Beaches.
In 2019, we saw the need to broaden the focus of the campaign to include other vulnerable cohorts. That year, the event raised $182,000 for Women’s Community Shelters (WCS), The Burdekin Association and Link Wentworth’s Scholarship Program.
After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, we will be hosting the 2023 event in person and inviting people to join in virtually. With your help, we hope to raise even more funds through Home Sweet to once again support WCS, Burdekin and our Scholarship Program. Read more about the beneficiaries here.
Donate, support a “sleepee” or sleep over yourself at Freshwater Surf Club on 17th March 2023 to raise money for this important cause. You can also join virtually on the night by sleeping out in your car or backyard.
