- Accidently marked the fabric lounge with a pen? Apply hairspray and then wipe off.
- Stale Bread? Make breadcrumbs. If you enjoy making your own bread, add a cup of breadcrumbs to the dough. Saves throwing it away.
- To clean your rings and jewellery, soak in window cleaner and then wash off and wipe clean.
- To sharpen scissors, try cutting up some alfoil or sandpaper.
- Clean your toilet bowl, seat, bowl lip and cistern with toothpaste for a fresh minty result!
- Shaving cream cleans your car headlights.
- Burnt the bacon/steak/rice in the frypan/saucepan? Hard to clean or ready to throw out? Try sprinkling generously with salt, add water, and boil for 5 to 10 minutes. Wash as normal.
- Cleaning between narrow spaces, like stoves, cupboards, fridge? Get an old sock dampened with vinegar, water & detergent. Slide the sock onto the end of your broom handle/mop and start cleaning.
- Clean your drill bits in a small amount of motor oil and then wipe off – see how clean they are.
